It’s a little known fact that On A Mission very first started back in 2009 as part of a joint event with Weymouth based promoters IRATE. Catering primarily for local jump up and wobble DnB heads, On A Mission moved on to host their first solo event at a local Blackfield pub, The Hampshire Yeoman in 2010. After a rammed event it was clear that a bigger venue would be needed for future endeavours and the first camo themed On A Mission night was born at a disused cinema in Holbury. This also proved to be a great success and the next couple of events for 2011 moved to a more central location at The White House (now Café Parfait) in Southampton. On A Mission was a great showcase for local talent and gave up and coming DJ’s the opportunity to gain live experience playing out.

As word spread about the success of the brand, Mo Rollers Warehouse in Southampton became On A Mission’s new home and headline DJ’s and MC’s began appearing on each event as ravers started travelling from across the South Coast to catch the next big night. Collaborating with some of the biggest promoters in the business such as Random Concept, Overload and Low Down Deep to produce sell-out events, On A Mission firmly established itself as one of the best home grown brands in the business and the success continued throughout 2012 & 2013. It was apparent that 2014 was off to a strong start when On A Mission hosted a sell-out RAM Records event with no other than the Executioner Andy C himself at the top of the bill.

In May, On A Mission hosted a room at Random Concept Roadmender and Northampton was invaded by coachloads of the faithful On A Mission ravers. Not content with this, Summer Jam was launched a couple of months later which pased all expectations as Southampton’s staple summertime DnB event. The year closed out with another sell-out night, this time with On A Mission Rewind at Roxx and it was clear that the ravers couldn’t get enough of what was now seen as one of the biggest up and coming DnB promoters in the industry.

It’s clear that 2015 is destined to be On A Mission’s year and it started with a bang as the fans showed their support and voted for On A Mission as the Best Breakthrough Promoter in the Drum and Base Awards. Coming 3rd place was a fantastic achievement for the brand and this wave of excitement continues to grow with each and every event. Hosting a jam packed stage at Southampton Soundclash festival has helped to convert even more clubbers to the brand and has spread the word about On A Mission’s significance to the DnB scene. Drawing more crowds than the main stage for most of the night, this success has led to further bookings for Mutiny Festival and the next Soundclash event. The resident DJ’s and MC’s (DJ Ripraw, DJ Hannibal, MC Hazza and MC Kendall), along with a couple of other key individuals have shown their loyalty from the start and have stuck by On A Mission to help it become the success it is today. It goes without saying that this success only continues to snowball and there is no doubt that On A Mission has earned its place as one of the best DnB promotions in the scene.
